Legal Advocacy & Court Navigation

Survivors of Legal Abuse

You shouldn’t need three law degrees to understand your case.

Blue Light Alliance supports survivors facing court-related trauma, whether the issue is criminal, civil, or family-based. We help you understand the system, document your case, and move forward with clarity.

What We Offer Right Now

  • Court literacy support: breaking down filings, motions, and procedures in plain language.
  • Case organization guidance: helping survivors track timelines, evidence, communications, and documentation.
  • General advocacy: preparing survivors for what to expect and how to stay safe emotionally and physically.

What We Are Building

  • A volunteer attorney network for survivors who fall into the gap between traditional legal aid and private legal costs.
  • Court accompaniment volunteers trained to attend hearings (virtual or in-person when possible).
  • Educational materials for judges, court staff, and justice partners on recognizing legal abuse as a form of continued trauma.

We Walk With You

Legal systems are intimidating — but you don’t have to navigate them alone.
